Scones. Round II

Hello again my lovely foodies.
We are back again this lovely weekend with a few more shenanigans than usual and a new pair of helping hands! This is an episode of Cooking with Quinnie: On the Road! We packed our bags, went over the river, through the woods, under city center, to Nana's house we went. That is right ladies and gentlemen. We went to The Ultimate Birth Givers home to teach her the ways of Cooking with Quinnie.
Left to right: The Amazing TT. The Ultimate Birth Giver, Nana. The Velociraptor herself, Quinnie. Myself, The Birth Giver.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!!

Scones!!!

Yes, we have made scones in the past and it was so much fun and they were SO good. We had so many requests for more that we just couldn't pass up the opportunity to try a new flavor. Of course we also made the all time favorite Lemon Blueberry, which was a request from The Man, The Myth, The Legend. Papa! But, we decided that those were just not enough. This week we also made Lemon Raspberry which was requested by The Nana. We used the same recipe for both flavors and made a double batch, split the dough and added the berries. So this technically is nothing new.
Here is the link for the scones we made few weeks ago that were a HUGE hit!

We did the exact same steps just with one batch of different berries. The Papa LOVED the scones and they will be his "cheat" since he is not really eating bread anymore. *Next time we take this cooking show on the road we will get Papa to help so we can get photos of him on here too 😉*

Snack break!!

We also didn't do a glaze on the scones this time. We found some really good crystallized sugar and used that on the top to still give the sweetness but not the over powering glaze flavor and mess. They turned out so good and so lemony, as always.

We always do extra lemon as we LOVE lemon. I have already talked to The Ultimate Birth Giver about the holidays as we ALWAYS go all out and have a baking extravaganza over 2-3 days and make so many goodies.

Guess who will be posting recipes, photos and hyper lapse videos?! Oh yes, we will. We have already confirmed a traditional lemon meringue pie will be on the list of things to be made! I am BEYOND excited for this. Maybe I can convince her into making a key lime pie too, it's my favorite!!

I wish I would have grabbed a photo of the kitchen. We destroyed The Nana's kitchen! More than we do at home. It was comical. Nana, as always, is a good sport and didn't even blink an eye at her kitchen that was covered in flour. 🖤

Well I believe that is all for this episode. I know it was short and nothing too new but we are coming up with new ideas and will be having some fun next weekend. We promise to have a new recipe for you!!

From our kitchen to yours,
Let's eat!
